On post war weatherboard clad house
Choosing a colour for a house can be 50 shades of grey. Hopefully these photos can leave you with 48 other shades to try for yourselves!
As you will soon realise if you are sample potting, side by side samples, how much you paint, the surface you paint on and the ambient light will all make things look different. So these photos are just one aspect of how the colours look. Anyway, we are happy, the paint has made the house look much fresher.
The following is from the “Dulux Colour Wall – Greys”
Dulux Paint
Lexicon (White)
Silkwort (Light Grey)
Malay Grey (Dark Grey)
We liked the look of the colour palate found on local Gum Trees. They were predominantly grey with slight green / brown undertones. One of the colours in the same series of paints was called Flooded Gum (slightly darker than Silkwort) which may have helped us down this colour scheme.
Hope this helps someone!
