Got my fuel estimate wrong and had to take it easy for the last part of the trip. About 400kms range out of a tank, 76L on full up, 17.8l\/100kms. Not sure why that was up a bit, maybe a head wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seems to be lots of large wheat or grain farming out here though everything looks pretty dry. Red dirt. These pictures are not of Parkes, rather what’s left of a small drive through town along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caravan Park is cheap and cheerful just outside town and backing onto the Murrumbidgee River. Will explore the town tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
