Nice town. Went and saw a replica of Stonehenge. Then checked out a park and a museum. Wonderful weather again. Miniature train ride , adventure park and a lookout. Museum. Probably a few more coastline shots tomorrow
20230420 Salmon Gums v2
Interim stop overnight before we get to our booking in Esperance, which we are apparently lucky to have as it’s all booked out. Small Town, but welcoming caravan park. Watched the solar eclipse which was pretty cool made a small pin hole projector. Went to the local pub for a […]
20230419 Balls Boulder Day v2
Still at Dundas Rocks. Went to the picnic area and did a bit of boulder climbing. Found some awesome boulders that looked like two big balls. We shall call this day, “Balls Boulder Day”. Check back in a few days for pics (will rename to v2 in blog title). Had […]
20230418 Nullarbor Day 3 v2
This was hopefully our last stretch across the Nullarbor. We had to drive the longest straight road in Australia. 90 miles. Stopped at a road house at Balledonia which had a decent little museum in it with some space junk that fell in the area. Next stop was meant to […]
20230417 Nullarbor Day 2 v2
Another long travel day going from the Nullarbor Roadhouse to Cocklebiddy. This will be the first time that we go to a new state for the first time as a family. Quarantine border check into WA ended up being a lot less intrusive then we expected. The big kangaroo was […]
20230416 Nullarbor
After a quite day yesterday in Ceduna thanks to miserable weather, today promised to be a slow day burning some miles. Ended up pretty good. Made it to the Nullarbor Roadhouse after visiting the start of the great Australian bite, and then did some exploring to some caves not far […]
20230414 Travel day to Ceduna
No photos just some notes for my future reference. Rain most of the day but had a few breaks to get some shopping done and also set up site. Picked up home schooling stuff and a bit of retail therapy for kids. Seb got a hoodie and some new shoes, […]
20230413 The Granites and Smooth Rocks
These were actually from yesterday, and a few shots from the whistling rocks and blowholes and a few around camp. This is what happens when there is no Internet. Actually, not many photos from the blowholes, kinda have to be there. There is a servo in town that has a […]
20230412 Streaky Bay and catch up photos
A few day trips around Streaky Bay. Timelines a bit muddled here with photos for to her Internet. So this is a heavy page. Few photos to add from Kylie as well. Weather was windy when we arrived but cleared up for a few crackers then got a bit average […]
20230411 Streaky Bay
Travel day, bit of rain, very windy. Caught up with some families traveling the same direction. Mira got her birthday present (a hoodie). These rocks are called Murphy’s Haystacks. This is our spot about 10kms out from streaky. Streaky Bay seems like a nice town.
