Pomona day 2. Headed back to Gympie to jump on the Mary Valley Rattler. It was a nice experience. Does take you back to a bygone era. Can smell the coal burning and rattling our bones, a far cry from a shinkansen. Felt like we were traveling maybe 30-40km/h. The views were nice but maybe not as grand as I expected. Lots of history. Had two stops outside of Gympie.
The highlight for the kids was probably playing fiskar with a lovely old gentlemen who was keeping everyone engaged with the ten pin bowling type game. He also played the trumpet on our arrival and departure.
Headed back to get some groceries then came back where Mira and Seb played with their new friends.
