Rainbow Beach day 5. Off to see the dolphin feeding. Not really my thing but rate this one much more than a Monkey Mia. Kids could get in and feed the little fluppers.
Went to a park and got savaged by mosquitoes. Came home and kids started finish our turtle turtle song. They were splitting some bars for the verses. We’ve been singing this song for a few months, just a chorus and then everyone takes turns coming up with rapping verses “I got flipped I got no feet, I use them to catch something to eat! Turtle, turtle turtle…” Probably doesn’t translate well on blog.
After lunch we thought we’d try do some sand boarding. That was an epic failure. I thought you could walk there, but I think that dune was closed. So after about 1km in scorching muggy heat we turned back to get the car. Seb wasn’t in the mood cause he grazed his leg playing soccer on the deck just outside the bartender park. And apparently it hurts. Plus we have woke them up early last few days.
We for the car drove to Carlo sand blow. Guess what? Another 600m walk which normally would be fine but Seb was still in a mood and it was still hot. The reason we were going on the middle of the day was because it was meant to storm, but that never eventuated. So we get to save blow and it’s just to hot to even waste a tear. Mira gave it a quick crack, how she didn’t burn her feet I don’t know. We headed back and straight to the pool (room).
Kylie must have got a bit dehydrated so she tried to sleep while the kids were played some games. I tried to sneak off and shop for some boardies, but by the time I got back like was no longer sleeping. Thanks kids.
Went for another drink at the SLSC before heading into the beach. Some young kids managed to get their Falcon on and off the beach. Legends.
Packed up most of the stuff outside as well want to head off a bit earlier tomorrow.
