300 odd KMS to get to Rocky. This feels like the Queensland I’m used to. Bruce highway! I remember good ol Bruce. Few big cow statues driving in. Got a free camp site here for two nights. See how it goes.
Headed to the zoo. Bit of fun. Chimps were pretty awesome. Otters, Meerkats, Gibbons along with the usual local animals. Wombats are quite large.
Kids went to the park just up the road. Went spent some money at Anaconda. Finally a new shirt and a surf rod.
And you would never guess who pulled into the camp ground 5 minutes after us. You can probably guess now, Tire pressure guy! And we did pass him on the way to Winton. Crazy. I should get a picture of him. Actually, his van is up in this blog.
