Slept in today. Probably needed it. Feels like we have been rushing around a bit. Clambered into the car after breakfast and headed off to the gorge. Road was definitely better this time around. Saw a family on the side of the road and stopped to see what was going on. They were pumping tires up, but mentioned they didn’t think they had enough fuel to get to Kununurra. I offered them my fuel from the Jerry can which seemed to make them feel better.
Walk to Emma gorge was pretty good. Seb still had a bit of a sore foot from that thorn the other day. But by the time he got to the gorge and had a swim or two he was feeling better.
Pretty awesome gorge. Cold with two warmer springs out the side. That was nice to get some body heat back. Walk back to turquoise pool about two hundred meters back and lucky to get that to ourselves for a bit. Seb and Mira enjoyed this one a little more. Felt a touch warmer. Few belly flops going on here.
Walked back to the reception and had some lunch and I got a Pina Colada. Was pretty good. Kylie had food envy but for my drink. So she ordered one for herself while I took kids for a swim in the pool.
Came back to camp and saw another family who went through the Gibbs. They got through but don’t think it was worth it with a caravan from what my spidy senses were telling me. Microwave, few cupboards, brake wires. Another guy who was telling me at Marchfly Glen how he doesn’t mind corrugation and just let my tires down more didn’t appear as enthusiastic to go do the bungle Bungles. Think they had a few flats and maybe a few other things go on. We made the right choice not going past Mt Barnett with the van.
