20230822 El Questro Gorge and Zebedee Springs

Going on a tour ride today. Maybe paid a bit too much but not sure we’d get to see and enjoy these two by driving around. Had a safari style car to take us around which got the kiddies a bit excited. Lots of older patrons on the tour with us. The drive through the crossing was pretty decent. I wouldn’t take my car through it. About 150m long and close to 1m deep in sections. Kiddies liked this as well. I liked that it wasn’t my car, not that I’d even try without a snorkel.

The walk was slow and steady being in a group. A welcomed change in pace compared to me always pushing the pace. Nice little gorge with a nice little hole to swim in at the end. I didn’t get any photos of the end swimming hole as I was using the goPro.

After this we drove over to Zebedee Springs. The kicker is, we got the springs to ourselves as general public have to get out by 12. As most of the other positions had enough walking, we pretty much had the spring to ourselves for an hour. This made it pretty amazing.

Kylie spent at least 10 mins floating in the waterfall. Oh, forgot to mention, this spring is relatively hot. 30ish degrees. Whatever it was, it seemed perfect!

Came home. Went had a few drinks while kids played. Seb got a thorn from a bougainvillea stuck in his heel. He survived.
