We drove up here yesterday. Staying at as spot just past Cygnet Bay called Gumbana wilderness. Dirty and hot. Not many luxuries and a short 1.5 kms of rough unsealed road for the caravan.
However got a nice little spot.
Today was a fun filled day. I went out in the morning down to the sand flats and did some fishing. Caught a bunch of different decent sized fished. Golden trevally, bream, Queenfish and another spotted thing. Ride turned and started coming up quick, seeing as there is a 9m rise around here, things change quick. Think there were a few black tip reef sharks. Kids did a nudie swim cautiously. No Crocs other than on my feet.
Headed over to Cygnet Bay. They’re was a bogged truck that we tried to help without much luck. But they got out. Cygnet Bay, nice little resort. Had lunch there then kids had a swim in the pool to cool during the mid day heat.
came back to site, and went to the beach. Had some fun fishing. Mira hooked up on a few fish with lures. Seb also had some luck with a popper having some giant Herring jumping out of the water and throwing the lure. Pretty cool really. I managed to reel one in. Gave it to a guy to take back and eat. Kids had a swim again. Lots of sun, lots of fun.
Forgot, yesterday drive through to Beagle Bay, there was a church there with lots of pearl stuff.
