Got my fuel estimate wrong and had to take it easy for the last part of the trip. About 400kms range out of a tank, 76L on full up, 17.8l/100kms. Not sure why that was up a bit, maybe a head wind.
Seems to be lots of large wheat or grain farming out here though everything looks pretty dry. Red dirt. These pictures are not of Parkes, rather what’s left of a small drive through town along the way.
Caravan Park is cheap and cheerful just outside town and backing onto the Murrumbidgee River. Will explore the town tomorrow.

Starting to lose track of where we’ve been. Another traveler asked where we had come from, I had to ask Seb, he said, “China!”. China was the name of the old guy next to us at Parkes.
