Two weeks of cleaning, one week of packing the car and can, the weeks of schooling and we are now ready to go.
Filled up the car with fuel and van with water and got it weighted. We did cull a lot of things to the basics rather than take all the “that’s gonna be handy” stuff
Taking the combined front (platform A), rear axle (platform B), adding the passengers in of around 110kg for wife and two kids, and add the tow ball weight (platform C), we reach exactly the GVM of the Pajero of 3030kg. Caravan still has about 60kg of load available (maximum tow for Pajero is 2500kg) but we need the kids schooling and a few more random items and i also want to stick some stuff from the car into the van now to give a bit more load leeway.
Notes to self: Driver, full tank of fuel, full water tanks in caravan.
Overall pretty happy that we are legally packed with everything we need.
